Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
A Time for Everything
There is an appointed TIME for everything. And there is a time (season) for every event under heaven―
A time to give birth, and a time to die; A time to plant, and a time to uproot what is planted.
A time to kill, and a time to heal; A time to tear down, and a time to build up.
A time to weep, and a time to laugh; A time to mourn, and a time to dance.
A time to throw stones, and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, and a time to shun embracing.
A time to search, and a time to give cup as lost; A time to keep, and a time to throw away.
A time to tear apart, and a time to sew together; A time to be silent, and a time to speak.
A time to love, and a time to hate; A time for war, and a time for peace.
God has “perfect timing” for everything in life! Maybe you are in a time/season of pain. Here’s the Good News! Seasons of pain will usher in times of refreshing, a time of favor, blessings and gain!
In Ecclesiastes the first word for “time” is slightly different in Hebrew than the second word for “time”.
- zeman (time) as in a season that doesn’t change.
- ʽēth (time) (cycles) time as the “logical roll-over” of what precedes to present time. rollovers, divine appointments, set ups.
For example: There is a time ( ʽēth ) of fertility, but there is an appointed time (Zeman) to give birth.
Season’s come and go! But times remain! It is settled in heaven!
Solomon is teaching us a valuable lesson about “life under heaven” and what has been “settled in heaven”.
It is settled, God has a plan for your life! You have a divine appointment with destiny!
David said it like this: Psalm 31:15 My times (ʽēth –) are in Your hand.
I do not know what you are going through, but I do know that God is holding it all together in His Mighty Right Hand! There is purpose in the pain!
Isaiah 55:10-13 (NKJV)
“For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven,
And do not return there, but water the earth, and make it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth.
It shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please,
And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it!
My friend, I feel the Holy Spirit speaking to me right now to the point I have tears forming in my eyes! There is a divine appointment that God has for you! There is a set up that is in your near future! You may have been seeing the “rollover” of your trial, over and over! But the Words that God has spoken over your life will come to pass and it will prosper! Not only will it come to pass, but it will be ushered in with times of refreshing, favor, and abundance!
I prophesy and declare over you in the name of Jesus that there is a season of refreshing coming your way! There is a season of relief! There is a season of revival that will bring times of refreshing that will usher in the favor of the Lord! God is going to breathe upon your dry season and send rain to your thirsty soul.
Don’t be afraid of the painful seasons in your life. Don’t let stress and anxiety rule over you! Resist it so you will not be lullabied to sleep by the enemy to miss your time of awakening! The alarm has been set in heaven! Will you hear it when He sounds the alarm?
