Dear Friends! As I sit in the ER again with my son who has been very sick, this word came to me, “What is the cure for dry, hard, dark, sick seasons?”
Have you ever had a trial that seemed to come in three’s? Have you ever had a back to back trial that did not give you time to catch your breath from the first one? Would you like to know the formula for this particular season?
The answer is……PRAISE!
Isaiah prophesied and Jesus quoted it! Jesus is the ONE bringing the freedom and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord!
Right now, in this moment Jesus is saying, “I will give you beauty for ashes, I will give you hope for hopelessness, I will give you joy for sadness, I will give you a garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness and depression!
The one thing the enemy is after is your praise!!! You may ask, “how can I praise when my heart is broken into a million pieces or when it feels like my life is falling apart, or when you have experienced sickness that left you empty?”
I get it! I’ve been there! That’s why I want to share this WORD with you!
Did you know there are seven Hebrew words for praise? I want to talk to you about ONE of the words out of the seven!
- TEHILLAH: To sing a spontaneous, unrehearsed song of the Lord, from your spirit.
In the old testament where ever you see the word PRAISE, it has several different meanings. If you really want to know which word is used, you have to look it up in a Hebrew Bible or GOOGLE IT!
ISAIAH 61 Tehillah praised is used and it has really been speaking to me in this season of my life. Let’s take a closer look at it!

1“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise (Tehillah) for the spirit of heaviness;
Put on the garment of spontaneous, musical prayers, unrehearsed song of the Lord from your spirit.
When you praise and worship Jesus with spontaneous, unrehearsed words that have a melody to it, it has the power to lift depression!
The Tehillah Praise is what casts out the spirit of heaviness! The Lord is showing me something here! Don’t stop reading! I want you to experience freedom and deliverance in your praise!
I believe now is the time for YOU to arise with a Tehillah Praise! Not just on Sundays, but everyday of the week. How? Turn your prayers into songs and melodies of worship to the Lord, spontaneously! The spirit of heaviness cannot take it! Heaviness will shake and crumble and it will be cast out by worship! I have seen it!
TEHILLAH Praise is the cure for dry, DARK and lonely seasons! TEHILLAH Praise is the cure for brokenness! TEHILLAH Praise is the cure for depression!
I believe once you get the Tehillah Praise in your heart you will see God rise up in your circumstance! I believe you will see miracles, signs and wonders!
I believe God will restore as spoken in Joel 2:24-26
The threshing floors will be full of grain, and the vats will overflow with new wine and oil. I will repay you for the years eaten by locusts— the swarming locust, the young locust, the destroying locust, and the devouring locust My great army that I sent against you. You will have plenty to eat, until you are satisfied. You will praise the name of the LORD your God, who has worked wonders for you. My people will never again be put to shame.…
Your Tehillah praise will open doors of healing in your heart and to all those around you. God inhabits the praises of His people.
What should you do now?
Now…you must PUT ON THE GARMENT OF PRAISE FOR THE SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS!
Then…this is what the WORD says will follow your tehillah praise!

You will be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
And you will be rebuilt and restored!
Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, And instead of confusion you shall rejoice in your portion.
Therefore in YOUR land YOU shall possess double; Everlasting joy shall be YOURS!!
I will direct your work in truth, And will make with you an everlasting covenant.
For He has clothed YOU with the garments of salvation,
He has COVERED YOU with the robe of righteousness……..
