Yes! God is willing! …are you?

Luke 5: 12-13

While He was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man covered with leprosy; and when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

And He stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” And immediately the leprosy left him.

Dear  friends,

The Lord is willing to touch you and cleanse you right now! His arms are stretched out to you!  God is willing!  Are you willing to take the next steps toward HIM?

The leper had a deeply infectious, contagious skin disease that shouted out to everyone he met “unclean” in Jewish society. This leper became a social outcast, barred from all the activities at the Temple. But yet He saw Jesus and went toward Him and worshipped Him!  Out of desperation he made his way to Jesus then he fell down at His feet and basically said, “Jesus, I know You can do all things, I have heard of Your fame and glory, so I know, if You want to (if you are willing) You can cleanse me!

He didn’t just ask for healing! He asked for cleansing!  He needed to be washed from the inside out! He needed Jesus to go beyond leprosy of the skin and go to the leprosy of the heart. This man had been an outcast so you know he had to carry many emotional wounds as well as physical!  And yes! Jesus went there! He left cleansed and healed!

This is what he did! He looks steps toward Jesus and Jesus took steps toward him.  He fell down to worship Jesus and made his request known, and Jesus responded by stretching out his hand of compassion and answered him with a YES…I AM WILLING!

But there is one thing you must know and you must remember!

Faith Without Works Is Dead!

Read James 2:14-26

There is something you must do!

  1. Recognize when Jesus can be found
  2. Make the effort to go toward Jesus
  3. Be intentional about your worship
  4. Be specific about what you need
  5. Get in position to receive and be revived

Listen, as I am sitting here, I can hear the Lord speaking to my spirit. This is what I hear:

God is about to take away the pain of your past.  You have grieved over the disappointment,  loss and abuse long enough! The Lord is wiping away the painful memories of your past.  He  will cause you to forget the pain of abuse, rejection, affliction, and abandonment. God will make you fruitful in the land of affliction! Instead of your [former] shame you will have a twofold recompense; instead of dishonor and reproach you shall rejoice in your portion. Therefore in YOUR land you shall possess double [what you had forfeited]; everlasting joy shall be yours.

The Lord is going to turn your mourning into dancing and your sorrow into joy.  Those who sewed in tears will reap in joy.   There is about to be an unleashing of God’s healing power on this generation and among the hurting and broken!

(Is. 61, Gen. 37, Gen. 41, Psalm 126)

So, His answer is YES…He is willing!  Are you willing to go toward Him and lay everything down at His feet?

Dear Lord Jesus, I pray for every person who reads this letter!  I pray that strength and courage would come to their hearts.  I pray that You will begin the process now of healing.  There is someone Lord who has grieved over their past and their losses long enough.  The pain is becoming too much!  Lord, just like you did Joseph, I pray that you will cause them to forget the pain of their past and you will make them fruitful in the land of affliction. Those who have sewed in tears will reap in joy.  I pray that you would unleash your power upon their lives Almighty God! I believe there is nothing impossible with you and there is nothing too hard. I pray for those who have become weary in doing good.  I pray they won’t lose heart my Lord.  Give them a double portion in the land of the living.  Pour out Your mighty favor upon their lives Jesus! I pray for the prodigal sons and daughters to come home as You unleash your power upon this generation.

In Jesus name, let it be done as You have said Almighty God!
